b= (m-ax^2-c)/x

To solve this, I subtracted ax^2 from both sides making the the equation look something like this: m-ax^2=bx+c. Then, I subtracted c from both sides to isolate bx. Finally, I divided out the x so that b is completely isolated, giving me the answer: (m-ax^2-c)/x - b
