A manufacturer is producing two types of shoes, types A and B. Type A cost $4 to produce and takes one hour. Type B costs $5 dollars to produce and takes 12 1 2 hour. Type A yields a profit of $10 and type B yields a profit of $12. The manufacturer has $40 and 7 production hours available. How many of each type of shoe should the manufacturer produce to maximize profit?\

Is B. $5 for 12 1/2 hours?
Because Then A would be the obvious choice due to the fact that you wouldn't be able to even make one of B

7 type A shoes, since they only take one hour

4 x 7 = 28

7 x 10 = 70

70 - 28 = 42 (it gives a 42 dollar profit)

Even if type B can give you more money after sold, you don't have enough time to even complete 1 shoe, which means -5 dollars for him, because it takes 12 1/2 hours to complete one shoe

hope this helps
