Explain why scientists rejected Lamarck’s ideas about evolution. What is an example that they might have used in their argument against his ideas? Enter your answer in the space provided.

He thought they changed from simple organisms to more complex organisms because they had an innate drive to become more complex and "perfect." Lamarck thought that when organisms changed their behaviors in response to a changing environment, their bodies changed. When they used a part of their bodies more, it changed accordingly. When they used a part of their bodies less, it shrank.

Information is not passed on through DNA but through molecules having an influence on the DNA of the new generation.
This is one argument against Lamarck's ideas.
