How to solve -5 3/14 to the thousandths place?? Please help

first off, let's change the mixed fraction to "improper", and do the division then.


\bf \stackrel{mixed}{-5(3)/(14)}\implies -\cfrac{5\cdot 14+3}{14}\implies \stackrel{improper}{-\cfrac{73}{14}}\implies -73/ 14\approx -5.21428571 \\\\\\ -5.\stackrel{tenth}{2}~\stackrel{hundreth}{1}~\stackrel{thousandth}{4}
