Read this sentence:

Sally would make a terrible class president. She may be good at debates, but she is a terrible saxophone player!

The logical fallacy used in these lines is a _________(Blank A) because _________(Blank B).

Blank A:
-Hasty Generalization
-Red Herring
-False Dilemma

Blank B:
-the mention of her skill as a musician tries to make people choose between musicians and leaders
-the mention of her skill as a musician makes a generalization that class presidents cannot play instruments
-the mention of her skill as a musician is irrelevant to whether Sally would make a good president

I'm more worried about the first blank. Thanks, you guys! :)

The logical fallacy used in these lines is a red herring because the mention of her skill as a musician is irrelevant to whether Sally would make a good president.

A red herring is when one point is presented to try to dustract you from another. To distract you from her being good at debates, the person says she is bad at playing the sax (which has nothing to do with being class president).
