The correct answer is A. Squanto taught them how to plant, fish, and find their way around.

Step-by-step explanation:

When English settlers first arrived in America or the New Wolrd at the beginning of the 17th century they encountered strived to survive due to the harsh weather and lack of knowledge on how to plant, fish or take advantage of the resources in this new land. Fortunately, they could learn all of this as they interacted with local Native American Tribes, this was only possible due to Squanto who was a Native American Indians that help settlers to interact positively with native people and also taught settlers to survive, this included teaching them how to plant, fish and therefore survive with the resources of the land.
