Find the product. Type your answer in the provided space. Do not use spaces in your answer. To demonstrate an exponent, use the ^ key. For example, x 2should be typed in as x^2.

Alex, please try again. You have not used the "^" symbol here to denote exponentiation, as you were specifically asked to do. By 5x 2, do y ou mean 5x^2? Please rewrite 3x 3 y · 5x 2 y .

Answer:

15x^5y^2

Explanation:

Aas you can see in the problem you just need to multiply both factors using the laws of exponents, remember that when two terms with similar bases are multiplied the exponents have to be added up.

SO we have:

3x^3*5x^2y\\3*5=15\\x^3*x^2=x^((3+2))=x^5 \\y*y=y^(1+1)=y^2

The final term would be
15x^5y^2
