For #1 I would do 3+w=15 and subtract 3 on both sides and then
3+w=15
-3 -3
— —
w=12
They won 12 games
#2 I would do 27 times 3 because if they each payed 27 dollars and they split the bill so do 27•3 witch is 81 the bill was $81

I believe that number 1 is 12 because it says that they played 15 games but they were defeated in 3 which is simple subtraction.. 15-3=12
