The United States, did not take a clear stance on the French revolution, nor where they involved in any way. The French revolution was a bit divisive at the time, because there were those that thought that this revolution imitated their revolution, and thought it would make French a more powerful ally. Then there were those that thought the revolution would actually drag them into a war, and they didn't believe in a "mob ruled" society.

So the United States adopted the neutral stance on the topic.
