To answer this question we first need to order the prices:

76, 79, 81, 82, 85, 88, 89, 90, 90, 90, 94, 94, 96, 98, 99, 104, 109, 115, 117

Now that we have the data in order we have to remember that the second quartile is the median of the data. Since we have 19 prices the median will be the value located at tenth places, we locate this value in the data:

76, 79, 81, 82, 85, 88, 89, 90, 90, 90, 94, 94, 96, 98, 99, 104, 109, 115, 117

Therefore Q2=$90. (In here I put the dollar sign)

Now the first quartile is the median of the first half of data, that is, the median from the data:

76, 79, 81, 82, 85, 88, 89, 90, 90

Since we have 9 prices the median is the fifth value, locating it:

76, 79, 81, 82, 85, 88, 89, 90, 90

Therefore Q1=$85.

Now the third quartile is the median of the second half of data, that is, the median from the data:

94, 94, 96, 98, 99, 104, 109, 115, 117

Since we have 9 prices the median is the fifth value, locating it:

94, 94, 96, 98, 99, 104, 109, 115, 117

Therefore Q3=$99.
