Answer:

The solution of the equation −4x−2y=−12 , 2x+4y=−12 are (6 , -6) .

Explanation:

As given the equations are

−4x−2y = −12

Simplify the equation

-2(2x + y) = -12

2x + y = 6

Another equation

2x+4y=−12

2(x+2y) = −12

x + 2y = -6

Two equation becomes

2x + y = 6

x + 2y = -6

Multiply x + 2y = -6 by 2 and subtracted from 2x + y = 6 .

2x - 2x + y - 4y = 6 + 12

-3y = 18

y = (-18)/(3)

y = -6

Putting the value of y in the equation

2x + -6 = 6

2x = 12

x = (12)/(2)

x = 6

Therefore the solution of the equation −4x−2y=−12 , 2x+4y=−12 are (6 , -6) .
