The object's speed is (1000 kg-m/s) / (2.5 kg) = 400 m/s.
We can't describe its velocity because we don't know what direction it's moving.

Using the momentum formula p=mv, it can be determined that v=p/m. Therefore 1000/2.5 = 400. The object is going 400m/s
