the answer is this: A. -1/2 because 6/18 is equivalent to 2/6, and -5/6+ 2/6 equals -3/6, or -1/2.

-5/6 can be written as -15/18
-15/18 + 6/18 = -9/18
-9/18 can be reduced to -1/2.
Hope this helps!
