How did Ben Franklin contribute to the revolution?

So, Benjamin Franklin helped the revolution by creating and maintaining an alliance with France that helped the Americans in thebattle of Yorktown and He told them that the taxes were getting to high and they weren't being treaded fairly and decided he was right. He also persuaded the French to help and was himself one of those who travelled to Paris pleading for assistance..of which we know the French obliged ANSWER he had a printing press and made newspapers to discuss it.
