I trying to solve for b.
I don't understand how to isolate the variable.

2a+4b=d
we subtract 2a from both sides
2a-2a+4b=d-2a
simplify
4b=d-2a
divide by 4

(4b)/(4) = (d - 2a)/(4)
simplify

b = (d - 2a)/(4)
