Through which does light travel best?

There are no choices included with your question, so the space where the list should appear is a vacuum. Vacuum is the environment through which light travels best.

But hey ... When discussing light, what does "best" mean anyway ?

Fastest ? Least absorption ?
Least dispersion ? Least refraction ?
Most direct without bending ?
Least scattering ?

It's OK. Vacuum is the answer for any of those.

Light travels best through empty space because there is nothing to block/disrupt its path.
