The price today is 250.

You first multiply 200 by .25 (which is the decimal form of 1/4). This will give you 50. After that, you add the 50 to the 200 to show the increase of 1/4.

Answer: The price today = $250

Explanation:

Given : The original price of apple was $200.

The price of a new apple ipod has increased by 1/4.

Then , the new price =(Original price) +(
(1)/(4)) x (Original price)

= (Original price) (
1+(1)/(4) )

(\$200)((5)/(4))=\$250

Hence, the price of ipod today = $250
