We are given the equation :


y=0.5(x-2)^2\text{ + c}

The y-intercept of the graph is the value of y when x = 0.

When x = 0,


\begin{gathered} y=0.5(0-2)^2\text{ + c} \\ y\text{ = }0.5(-2)^2\text{ + c} \\ y\text{ = 0.5 }*\text{ 4 + c} \\ y\text{ = 2 + c} \end{gathered}

Hence the y-intercept of the graph/equation is 2 + c, where c is a constant

Answer: 2 + c
