Let width be x
Length: 2x-3

44=(x)(2x-3)
44=2x²-3x
0=2x²-3x-44
0=(2x-11)(x+4)

x=+11/2 or x=-4

Since dimensions cannot be negative, we have to use 11/2 or 5.5

The Width is 5.5ft , length is (2(5.5)-3)=8 ft

Hope I helped :)
