Answer:

People are poor and live in poor condition in a small cluster of houses. Poverty is the reason behind the increase of slums resulting in poor living quality facing overpopulation, lack of education and health. The sudden move of rural people to urban in search of jobs causes a rush in cities which led to creating a slum area where they can live cheaply without too much spending money.
