If you drop a rock from a height of 7.5m, it accelerates at g and strikes the ground 1.23718s later. If you drop the same rock from half the height, what will be it’s acceleration? The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^s.

If it is falling vertically, I'm pretty sure that the acceleration is always g (-9.8m/s^2).
