A platypus has 26 types of chromosomes. How many total chromosomes would be present in an intestinal cell from a platypus?

A total of 52 total chromosomes would be present in an intestinal cell from a platypus. Two copies of each chromosome will be found in the somatic cell of the platypus. Ten of the chromosomes will be the sex chromosomes.
