Here is your answer: First write the equation: 9x+27=108 Subtract 27 on each side 108-27=81 Then divide 9 by 81 9/81=9

9(x + 3) = 108
First distribute the 9 to everything inside the parenthesis by multiplying them.
9x + 27 = 108
Now subtract 27 from both sides
9x + 27 (-27) = 108 (-27)
9x = 81
divide 9 from both sides
9x/9 = 81/9
x = 9
9x = 81
hope this helps
