Propaganda posted painted an unrealistic pictures of war because they showed the people and troops that their side was winning or was doing better then the other. Hitler did this a lot in world war 2 and told the people they were winning but in reality they were losing.

The propaganda posted painted unrealistic pictures of war because they showed soldiers who were happily fighting, without injury and without stress. It showed happy people and not the realism of war.
