Assuming that the x+8 are both under the denominator and not (6/x)+8:

Replace x in the f(x) with g(x).
f(x)=6/(7/8x + 8)

Simpify.
f(x)=
(6)/( (7x+64)/(8) )
f(x)=
(48)/(7x+64)
