The formula for calculating area of rectangle is Area= Length (longer side of rectangle) * Breadth (shorter side of rectangle) We need to find length and breadth of rectangle by drawing rectangle on coordinate plane. Then we can count points between vertices that are opposite to each other Then we get length= 4 units and breadth=3 unit Then Area= 4 * 3= 12 units^2 we use unit because certain unit is not given I.e. cm , inch, metre etc
