Answer:

The Magna Carta was a document originally issued by King John of England on June 15th of 1215. It is a charter of English liberties that states, for the first time, the principle that everybody, including the King, was subject to the law. From the original 63 clauses the document contained when it was first published, there are only 3 of them that still remain as a part of the English law. Those are: the defense of the liberties and rights of the English Church, the confirmation of the liberties and customs of English towns such as London, and the statement that all free men have the right to justice and a fair trial.
