1. (-5)^3 This includes both a negitave base and an odd exponent. When you solve it (-5)(-5)(-5)= -125

2. (-5)^4 This includes both a negative base and an even exponent. (-5)(-5)(-5)(-5)= 625

3. (4)^4 This has both a positive base and an even exponent. (4)(4)(4)(4)= 256

Hope this helps... yet again I can be totally wrong, but let's hope not haha
