Okay. So to solve this problem, we have to try out each of the values to see what we get. x is the number up front and y is the number that is second in line. Let's try out the first. 7 * 7 is 49 and 5 * 9 is 45. 49 - 45 is 4. 4 < 28. Therefore, A is out. 7 * -1 is -7 and 5 * -7 is -35. -7 - (-35) is 28. 28 = 28. Score! But wait. 7 * 4 is 28 and 5 * 10 us 50. 28 - 50 is -22. C is out. 7 * -6 is -42 and 5 * -14 is -70. -42 - (-70) is also 28. 28 = 28. You have two answers. They are B and D.
