Which statement about the ordered pairs (−9, 3) and (2, −4) is true for the equation 6x−y2=14 ?

(2, −4) is a solution to the equation.
Both ordered pairs are solutions.

Neither ordered pair is a solution.
If you solve y^2-6y + 14 = 0 you'll see by the discriminate b^2-4ac
that it is not a perfect square, i.e = -20, so the solutions are imaginary numbers, i.e. no real solutions.
