CYSTIC FIBROSIS is the most common debilitating diseases of childhood among those of European descent. It is a genetic disorder affecting the lungs and sometimes pancreas, liver and intestine. It is an incurable autosomal recessive disease that affects the newborn babies. Males are relatively more at risk to be affected by this disease.
