What is the point-slope form of the line with slope -1/8 that passes through the point (-2, 1)?

y-1=-1/8(x+2) You just plug your points into the formula

(y-1) = (-1/8)(x+2)
or, y-1= - x/8 - 1/4
or, y= -x/8+1-1/4

so, y = -x/8 + 3/4
