The Maryland tolerant act also known as the act concerning religion was a law mandating religion tolerance for trinitarian Christians it was passed on April 21 1649 by the assembly of the Maryland colony in st. Marry’s city

To keep “us” from boycotting or resisting the parliament’s other acts on us. They basically said that we had to deal with their taxes even if they were not fairly given out.
