The associative property of multiplication states that:

(a\cdot b)\cdot c=a\cdot(b\cdot c)

In this case we have to solve:

8((1)/(2)\cdot(1)/(3))_{}

We can associate the 8 with 1/2 to make it easier to evaluate:

8((1)/(2)\cdot(1)/(3))=(8\cdot(1)/(2))\cdot(1)/(3)=4\cdot(1)/(3)=(4)/(3)

This is the expression proposed in Option A.

Answer: Option A.
