Jan went on a camping trip and was standing at the base of a mountain that appeared very large. She saw another mountain in the very far distance and it looked much smaller. Can Jan conclude that the mountain she is standing beside has to be larger than the mountains in the far distance? Why or why not?

No, since it is so far out in the distance, you are not really able to “know” if it is bigger or smaller. You are able to estimate though. I hope this helps!
