First lets do the addition. f(x) + g(x)
f(x) + g(x)
2x-1 + 2x + 4
4x -1 + 4
4x + 3
Largest coefficient on x = 4

Second lets do the subtraction. f(x) - g(x)
f(x) - g(x)
(2x-1) - (2x+4)
2x - 2x - 1 - 4
-5
Largest coefficient on x = 0

Third lets do the multiplication. f(x) *g(x)
(2x-1) * (2x+4)

4x^2 + 8x - 2x - 4

4x^2 + 6x - 4
Largest coefficient on x = 6

Answer: Multiplication will result in the largest coefficient on the x term.
