midpoint formula : (x1 + x2)/2 , (y1 + y2)/2
(a,b)...x1 = a and y1 = b
(c,d)...x2 = c and y2 = d

so ur formula would be :
m = (a + c)/2 , (b + d)/2 <==

Answer:

Formula that gives coordinates of the mid point of the segment connecting is
((a+c)/(2),(b+d)/(2))

Explanation:

Given point are ( a , b ) and ( c , d )

To find : Coordinates of the mid point of the segment connecting given points.

We know that if point are
(x_1,y_1)\:\:and\:\:(x_2,y_2)

then coordinate of the midpoints given by
((x_1+x_2)/(2),(y_1+y_2)/(2))

So, Coordinates of the given points =
((a+c)/(2),(b+d)/(2))

Therefore, Formula that gives coordinates of the mid point of the segment connecting is
((a+c)/(2),(b+d)/(2))
