What defense does Socrates offer against the charges of impiety and corruption of Athen’s youth?

He claimed that he never took money or forced anyone to follow him and that the youth had listened to his teachings of their own will. He also claimed that he never taught them how to believe in various types of gods or blaspheme but rather that he taught them how to use their head and minds properly.
