To calculate percentage decrease, we will use the formula;


\text{percentage decrease = }\frac{decrease}{\text{original number}}*100percent

decrease = original number - new number

= 166 - 12 =154


\text{percentage decrease = }(154)/(166)\text{ }*100percent

=92.8%
