how do arteries and veins connecting with the lungs differ from arteries and veins connecting to other organs?

"Arteries carry blood from the heart outwards (whether it is to the toe cells or the lungs). Veins carry blood from the cells back to the heart. ... The veinscarry blood TOWARDS the heart. I'm pretty sure all veins carry deoxygenated blood except for the PULMONARY VEIN."
