I'm pretty sure it would be A. She might be a secretive girl who everyone believes is an open-book.

The correct answer is A. Character

  • This quote describes the character in terms of her longings. It is a description of her inscrutable emotions. Her emotions are inscrutable because nobody in her family knows them, and not even her has the soul to speak of them. They are longings that are about to explode, but they are so trapped inside her. Despite her wishes to unlock them, she feels she does not have enough power to free them. Perhaps they are unreachable because they are “Up there, high up above the town” and she put her longings there for a time, so well protected no one could ever know them. Nevertheless, when the time has come to share, when it is obvious, that her mysterious look reveals something that is unknown, she feels unbelievably incapable to open them.
