the domain is what x cannot be, or what would make the function undetermined. Think about what natural logarithm is..

e^y = x
ln(x) = y

e^ln(x) = x

ln(x) cannot be zero since it is a denominator of the function, e^0=1 therefore x cannot be 1.
Also x can never be <= 0 , x must al at a be positive.

domain is (0, 1) ∪ (1, +∞)
