We should add 1/3 to each preceding number. So:
6, 6 + 1/3, 6 + 1/3 + 1/3, 6 + 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3
6, 6 1/3, 6 2/3, 6 + 1
6, 6 1/3, 6 2/3, 7
Hope this helps!
