The percentage error can be calculated using the following rule:
% error = difference between values / accepted value
From the givens:
The accepted value = 40%
Difference between values = 40% - 37% = 3%
Substitute in the equation to get the percentage error as follows:
% error = (3/40) * 100 = 7.5%

Ans : The experimental value for percentage of O is 37% and the accepted value of percentage of O is 40%. The the percentage error in the experiment is : = 3% / 40% = 7.5%
