We are told that the price (P) of a rope is represented by the equation:

P = 0.8 L

where "L" is the length of the rope in meters.

They ask what the price of the rope per meter is.

So we need to find the price of ONE meter of rope.

Since they gave us the formula, all we need to do is to replace "L" with "1" (for ONE meter) and find what the price P resuktsin:

P = 0.8 L = 0.8 * (1) = 0.8

That means that the price of the rope per meter is $0.80 (80 cents per meter).

Please DON'T include the symbol $ when entering the answer. Type just 0.80
