Greetings!

Solve for x.

(x+11)/(8) =-3
Multply both sides by 8 to get rid of the fraction.

8((x+11)/(8)) =8(-3)

x+11=-24
Add -11 to both sides.

(x+11)+(-11)=(-24)+(-11)
The Answer Is:

x=-35
