Let Opp Adj, and Hypp respectively represent the opposite side, the adjacent side, and the hypotenuse.

Consider an angle M with measure m degrees. The trigonometric ratios sec, and csc are defined as follows:

sec(m)=Hyp/Adj, and csc(m)=Hyp/Opp


Thus we can check that


\displaystyle{csc(\angle C)= (6)/(4)= (3)/(2)


\displaystyle{sec(\angle C)= (6)/(5)


\displaystyle{csc(\angle B)= (6)/(5)= (3)/(2)
