The answer is True. This is the correct answer because the anterior part of the thigh is the quadriceps femoris muscle. When this muscle contracts or shortens, it pulls on tendons attached to the tibia bone or lower leg bone, thus extending it outward. The anterior thigh muscle does in fact cause a leg extension.

That means the muscle in the posterior part of the thigh should cause the lower leg flexion.
