The answer to this question would be: spina bifida
Folic acid is important in making the neural tube. Deficiency in folic acid will result in a variety of neural tube defects like spina bifida. Folic acid should be consumed before planning pregnancy as the neural tube is formed in the first 3 weeks of pregnancy. Folic acid can be found in vegetables with green leaves.
