The length of Marshall's rectangular poster is 2 times it's width. If the perimeter is 24 inches,what is the area of the poster?

Let the length be L
Let the width be W

L=2W
2(L+W)=24
2(2W+W)=24
2 X 3W=24
6W=24
W=4
L=8
Area = L *W
Area = 4*8=32
